I have recently booked many weddings for this upcoming year and I am soooo excited! As you may already know; I LOVE Love!!...and weddings are full of it! Not only that, my other favorite is the engagement shoot!! MORE LOVE and guess what, it comes with every wedding package!
These photos are from my most recent wedding in June for this cute Kentucky couple, Jason and Jennifer. Jennifer's zipper broke right before the wedding! Ahhh! So we just clipped it up and then jumped in the ocean for a great post wedding photo session! TRASH THE DRESS! I love it!
When you book a wedding with me, you get a free engagement session with your Save the Date deposit which goes directly to the balance of you wedding. Contact me now to book your wedding! I can't wait to meet you and hear your wonderful stories of LOVE! Let me tell your story visually!
In these photos are Sara with her wonderfully supportive husband, Nitin, taken at Sunset Beach. There is so much going through a pregnant woman's mind in these short nine months, as many of you may know. A lot of preparation, contemplation of the life this little one may have and what can be done to make it the best possible one filled with opportunity! Before you know it, the baby is here and all the attention goes to little him or her and you wonder where the time went? Of course there will be plenty photos of this little one, too! This is what happened to me! Those peaceful nine months were gone and I (the photographer!) never captured the beauty of that time. It's a huge regret of mine but I made it up in Kaleb pictures! Yes, there are no shortage of those beautiful blue eyes! Still, I wish I could turn back the clock, just for a short time, to get some beautiful, loving photos.
Years down the road you will want to reflect on this time, as I did, and so will your child. Capturing the love for your child before they are even born is a heart warmer! So, heed my advise Ladies and document your bump! And all of your support team, as well! If not by me then by someone! Time flies and this is something that shouldn't be missed.
I've been booking a lot of weddings this year and I am elated with joy!! How great to be able to capture the love that a couple has for each other...forever! I've had the pleasure of shooting beach weddings and a couple of engagement shoots (which is my favorite) for Jared & Kristin (wed NOV 2013) and Karream & Christina (wed JAN 2014). I just have to share with you the lovey images that I have captured so far.
I know that I have been neglecting this blog but that is a blunder of the past. My new focus in life is love and health! Not only will I be shooting more weddings (some with Affordable Beach Weddings (www.affordablebeachweddingsflorida.com) but I will also be attending school that will allow me to become a certified Holistic Health Coach. Did I mention that I will be a notary, as well? Yes, I will also be able to marry people in the near future!!
So, there you have it. My life is looking good and exploding with new opportunities to do what I love; to help others achieve their goals and see the beauty of their loves and lives. Oh, happy days!
10% or more of all my profits, to be sort of exact;) I recently donated to a great charity, Burn Rescue, that was co-founded by a wonderful man, Brian Mullany. Brian is the Co-Founder and CEO of Burn Rescue and he previously co-founded Smile Train, the world’s largest cleft palate surgery charity and served as its CEO for 10 years. Burn Rescue provides free surgeries for severely burned children who can't afford them. These surgeries can completely transform a child and save them from a lifetime of pain and suffering.
Smile Train has been a favorite charity of mine for a couple years now. At Smile Train, Brian and his team pioneered a new approach to providing free surgery in developing countries by empowering local doctors to solve the problem themselves. He is doing the same thing with Burn Rescue and since it is a fairly new charity, I would love to support it in any way possible. Please check out the website at www.burnrescue.org and know that we are helping to transform many lives!
Smile Train is still one of my favorites that I will continue to donate to. You can check this one out at www.smiletrain.org
Every child born with a cleft - anywhere in the world - should have the opportunity to live a full and productive life. Smile Train provides free cleft surgery to hundreds of thousands of poor children in developing countries. We can help little girls like this one smile again!
Haley and Kaleb attended Dylan's birthday party...you can just tell what kind of amazing kids these are.
There are so many beautiful backdrops provided by mother nature. Can you imagine what these photo shoots would look like had they chosen a studio setting? Would their personalities be captured without their being able to explore and enjoy their environment like any naturally adventurous and curios kid? Many wonderful pictures have come from studio settings but from my experience, the children are generally scared and overwhelmed by the experience of being put in a small room with big scary lights and curtains... and are happy to get the heck out of there in the end.
I truly love what I do and I love kids. Let's get together, have some fun and end up with memories that last a lifetime in photographs!
Veggies, art, photography...I love it! What better way to mix all of my loves! This is the stump that I chopped off the bottom of my celery bunch. I originally shot a closeup due to the fact that it was heart shaped and had a pretty awesome design. I have an obsession about finding things that are heart shaped and photographing or preserving them somehow. It just goes to show that love is everywhere! It makes me happy. I love love!
How many heart shapes do you see in the spaces between the leaves? I see three...is it just me? More to come...
Mark Alexander and I hit up Ybor City and a local pool for the first photo shoot of the Flamingo Resort Calendar, which is due to be released this holiday season. This was so much fun! Mark is a great subject and a natural! I think we will be holding voting for which photo should be chosen in the future. More details when the shoots are finished. Like my page on Facebook to get the latest on the next photo shoots for this calendar at https://www.facebook.com/pages/Sapphire-Star-Photography/225506367537778 There will be three more shoots in the next two weeks! So exciting!
So far these are the few that have made the cut!
I had so much fun on my last photo shoot all over St Petersburg with Maureen. She showed me some very artsy and colorful places that made great scenes to set up her photo shoot. A few of her shots are on my home page and here are a few more. We must have gone to over 10 different spots over the course of three hours. I was lost half the time but that never bothers me...it's actually my favorite way to explore!
She has a great portfolio, now, that she will hopefully use on Inked Magazine's next call for models;). I hope these photos will give her confidence to start a new endeavor in her life. Thank you and good luck, Maureen!
Soon she will also be on my Model Mayhem page and Manta.com.
I've found that a great way to grow your business, make lasting friends and help others is to trade your trade skills. Not too long ago I shot a friends daughter's birthday party in trade for an awesome facial with her very own all natural skin care line. Her name is Ashley Zurek with AZ Skincare at www.Makeupartistashley.com
I did a photo shoot with Marcus and Christine at Christine's family home in Miami. It was a beautiful place and we had a lot of fun. I also shot that header photo of the iguana there. Did you know they run wild down in southern Florida? Awesome! Anyway, they make it easy to create such beautiful images since they are such a beautiful family! I look forward to photographing little baby Shaelyn when she arrives.
